Playtesting

Playtesting for this game was incredibly helpful for my environment making process. In the scene that I had playtesters look at, I had very minimal elements in the scene (I think it was only the scrolling sky and grass). One of my questions for them was if they thought the space felt cramped. I really wanted this game experience to be a calming explorative one and was concerned that the environment felt too boxed in and constricted. Almost every playtester found no issue with the physical scale of the scene but suggested that I add certain elements such as mountains, animals, and  trees to really give a sense of foreground and background. I somehow forgot just how effective implementing simple assets can be in giving the illusion of more room without physically scaling the game window up. I was incredibly grateful to receive these suggestions because in the end it seems that some of the small environment building assets/animations like the bees and ducks are some of the most memorable.
